HigherVibeHoax.com

Dear Folks,

That just might be the name of my next blogsite...

Here's one way that our transition into 2012 just might work. It could be a matter of "matching" frequencies. Meaning, that the reality we each experience (embody and manifest in our lives) is a product of matching frequencies--of the frequencies we are flowing and what states these frequencies match up with. In other words: RESONANCE. That’s what resonance is, literally. It's one vibratory body that is being activated by another. Resonance occurs when a match is made.

From my own experience and many other's confirming input, it's looking like what may happen in this 2012 stuff is that some of us who are resonant with a state of the new paradigm will experience ourselves as living in that paradigm. While concurrently occurring, others of us whose resonance is a match with old-paradigm states will experience themselves living in that paradigm (i.e. the old same thing).

As such, it may all boil down to a matter of resonance.

Now... if you fall for the "higher vibe hoax"--the old-paradigm concept that higher is better than lower, yer gonna be stuck with dem higher vibes alright... but that just may not be the good thing you think it is.

To review: language matters. Vilify lower in favor of higher in your language (“I wanna raise my vibration!”), and that's what you get. The mind hears your words and gives you the emotional equivalent of them, for better or for worse. So choose your words carefully. Denigrating the body and elevating the spirit is the oldest-paradigm trick in the book. Just ask Adam and Eve. Or, apparently, most New Age wags who blather on endlessly about raising our vibes. Good luck with that, folks.

You want to know how much fun is it to have your brainwaves stuck in high vibes, when you lack the grounding to create homeostasis in your system? It's constant fight or flight stress.

You want to know how great it is to have asked for higher vibrations when you lack the resonant space to embody them in comfort? Just ask just about anyone in Japan these days.

To be resonant is to be whole, it is to vibrate with the All. And thus, when you want to ask for evolutionary energy to fill your body and mind, ask for resonance. When you do this, you will receive the perfect admixture of high, low and everything in between vibes, and that's exactly the way it needs to be. We are, at any given moment, requiring just the right equilibrium of all frequencies. If you've ever adjusted the EQ of a recording you know what I mean.

I wouldn’t keep blathering on about others blatherings, if it weren't so darned important. It's time for us to love our bodies  as well as our minds and our cosmic consciousness… so that we can embody the All, so that we are resonant with the All. The absolute self-destructiveness of humanity is based, at it's core, on hating the body while trying desperately to escape into the spirit. How about if we don't have any more purges, pogroms and inquisitions from those stuck in spirit? How about if we don't have anymore wars, suffering and financial debacles from those stuck in the body? How about if we ask for (and then, of course, we shall receive) the resonance of the All?

New-paradigm states are one that generate energy through fusion, through the coming together of everything, while old-paradigm states generate energy through conflict, through the destruction of everything. In fusion states our focus is absorbed, almost completely, by the bliss of sensing the edge of the unified wave of Love and Light that moves through us. In conflict states, we are obsessed with resisting that which we have judged not OK and thus have become terrified of experiencing. One proffers infinite gifts of self-healing, and the other requires infinite striving just to survive.

What’s your choice for a home base?

If moving into 2012 is about matching frequency, about being resonant with the All, then this really is our get outta jail free card! We can stop trying, seeking, fixing and controlling because we’re in constant terror about survival … and start receiving, being, and allowing our bodies to be uniquely perfect self-healing systems. What could be more joyous than loving it All?

Loving the low, dancing the mids, blissing out on the highs,
Laurel

P.S. I don't know if we are evolving into a higher freq state or not. It's certainly possible. But here's what I do know. I know that our systems are not perfect and that almost every one of us has places in our systems that require tuning in order to be open channels for Light and Love. We may or may not already be all that we can be, and it's just a matter of how much we can let through to express. Or, we might actually be in the process of becoming different (like we did from the tadpole to crawling outta the water). Don't know, doesn't matter, what will be will be.

But what does matter is what's so right now. And right now we imperfect humans would be a whole lot happier if we could live together on this planet in peace and joy--agreed? And the only way to do that is to love what is, in the present moment. Frequency-wise that means to ask for resonance, rather than some mind-compelled construct of spiritual rightness over bodily yuckiness. Ya dig?

Seeking resonant states may actually surprise you when you discover what this feels like in your body. Check out Les Fehmi's Open Focus exercises for a great way to start experiencing resonance now.

Speaking the truth to yourself feels good

Dear Folks,

A friend sent me the following quote from Steve Beckrow:

“Beloved ones, to be in the Frequency of Love you do not have to prove yourself or work on yourself or be something that you are not as yet. You are Love and you express that Truth when you simply align with the Frequency of Divine Will and Cosmic Light. There is nothing to learn or achieve ….you simply allow the Light to flow through you as you become the “Eye of God.” Divine Intelligence experiences itself as Love through You! It is simple when you allow this Flow and this alignment!”

I would like to comment on this quote and invite you to consider how you can tap into the beneficial reality of what this quote is trying to impart… while not falling prey to its limiting beliefs. In my opinion, it illustrates both a beautiful desire to share love (thank you Steven!) and a distortion of the truth. And while I deeply appreciate the intention, my job right now is to discuss frequency, tuning and resonance in a way that helps any interested party in accurately embodying this vast metaphor so we can grow, heal ourselves, and surrender to being filled with Cosmic Love and Light. Ya dig?

In my opinion, the simplest most core way to express what it is that the human race does that is dysfunctional (i.e. that leads to pain rather than the freedom to love) is that we deny our feeling nature. Whether it’s our attitudes about sex, our myths (Adam and Eve getting kicked outta the garden), our values (it’s what you think is real, not what you feel), our collective training (suck it up, stick your head in the sand, feeling is wrong, shameful and bad).

The version of the I Ching I love to work with (Carol K. Anthony and Hanna Moog’s, see earlier post re Resources) was a revelation for me, because of it’s deep grasp of this issue. Being someone who is healing myself from forty years of denying my emotional and bodily feelings, I know the potency of how painful this can be. I also know the blessing of how releasing it is to finally awaken to accepting, being OK with, and letting flow my feelings. Byron Katie’s work, the Forum, somatics, and many other approaches are great treasures, in that they teach us how what we think is… well, what we think. And that’s OK. But it’s not necessarily what’s real, and just because we think it doesn’t mean we have to run it through our emotional bodies without discernment.

Understand how it works: you think something, then you judge it as not OK, then of course, you must suppress it. You must resist what you’re feeling. (Because once a feeling is labeled as “bad” who in the world would ever choose to feel it—to feel bad?) And, once you are busy resisting it, your focus (your attention, your attitude) is LOST to that resistance. You have little or not attention left over to perceive Light and Love. Cut off from what you are feeling, from your feeling nature, and you cut off from reality, from your authentic wholeness. That is a very painful condition, and it is THE human foible of all times. (It’s not about thinking positively; it’s about focusing on Light and Love, and ALL that entail!)

New-paradigm awareness is all about fusion. It’s about allowing oneness with the All. That means ALL energies, folks. What you are thinking, what you are feeling, what’s really happening, what do you wish were happening, even what’s happening in an alternate reality (we won’t get into that now, OK?). Old-paradigm awareness is all about conflict. It’s OK to feel this/it’s not OK to feel that… Endless suffering and continual pain are the inevitable result. Which do you choose now?

As the I Ching sez: mind connected to feeling nature (to its nature, to the body) results in remembering the feel of Cosmic Love. This is precisely what Open Focus imparts. Feeling space IS feeling conscious Love. Same thing. It’s feeling it all—the ground of being—and the space from which it comes, is and returns to. However, mind disconnected from feeling nature, by default, equals mind connected to ego (mind HAS to connect to something to be activated, just like a tuning fork must touch wood to be heard). So, it’s either mind connected to feeling nature or to ego. Notice which choice most people make; notice which choice is reflected in the world at large in every single system that human beings have created. Notice which choice is leading us into destruction, because it is, indeed, an ultimate act of self-destruction. (When we focus on the ego, the Self, is under attack, because that’s what the ego thinks it must to do to keep us safe.) Notice what happens the very instant you choose to connect mind to its feeling nature. (Breath opens up, you feel grounded, mind relaxes, attention expands to include present-moment joy, etc.)

Back to the quote…
Of course he’s right in his basic concept: You are Love and you express that Truth when you simply align with the Frequency of Divine Will and Cosmic Light. There is nothing to learn or achieve ….you simply allow the Light to flow through you as you become the “Eye of God.”
That's my whole point about asking for resonance rather than to "raise your vibration"  … which is a mind-divorced-from body concept about what you think you are not, but should be. Whereas resonance is what you already ARE, and by asking for this, you bring your awakened consciousness into harmony with the truth of who you are. And then, PING!, you are resonant (whole, perfect, living love).

However, to my perception there is not "the" frequency of love. There is a SYMPHONY of frequencies—All frequencies, to be exact—and that, when we come into harmony with ourselves and the Cosmos, we can hear, see and feel as love.

Now, I know that some of you may thinking I'm nit-picking, and so be it. But frankly, I think that if people say or especially write things and use words, like “frequency”, it is their responsibility to use them correctly. You and I both know the power of words. And I personally LOVE that we have an entire Cosmos full of all frequencies, from 0 Hz to infinite Hz (cycles per second).

Time for a quick review of what frequency is, from a (somewhat) technical point of view: A frequency is a sound wave (vibration) that can be measured in Hz or cycles per second. As such, every possible speed of cycles exists, from the very, very low to the very, very high (i.e. nuclear fission and beyond). Low frequencies are no more bad than high ones are good; they just are what they are. In some situations, one if more appropriate than another. To label low freqs as bad and high ones as good is code for saying that the body is bad and the mind (or spirit) is good. Not true. It’s ALL good; it’s all just what it is. How would you like for the “raise your vibes” police to come into your house and rip out the lower octaves of your piano, you know… for your security and well-being? To ground is to flow in low vibrations—yummy, healing. To be stuck in “fight or flight” mode is to cram your brainwaves into an ultra-high vibe state. Still want to raise them some more, huh? Ask for resonance, for it all and take what you get and love it for what it is. That’s self-healing via you’re your Frequency-Tuning Resonance for real.

To suggest that there is ONE PARTICULAR frequency that is Love is old-paradigm speak. It leads directly into trying, endless seeking (better find that one frequency or you're outta the loop, sucker!), and disconnecting from the All (Oh, I don't want those other non-love freqs anywhere near me, bleech). It leads to denying our bodies, and thus lack of grounding (which results in even more pain and suffering). If something is true, if something is worth believing, it’s worth running it through your emotions and body!

And the only thing that’s true is that you were put here on earth to embody loving it all,  being it all… just because it's All here, and we are it All. And if you are gonna use the term “frequency” than understand what it is, just the way you wouldn't blather on about an isotope or skew-risk options charts unless you knew what the heck they were! Language is a direct arrow into our thinking brains. (i.e. thoughts ARE specific frequencies). What we think is how we feel. How we feel creates the quality of energy we give forth into the Cosmos. And that, my friends, determines the quality of energy we receive back. So use words to mean what they really do mean, and you've got instant alignment with what you really do choose. Use words in old-paradigm ways and you are contributing to keeping the conflict going, within yourself and others. Again, your choice.

To conclude: in healing my body, there is ONLY ONE THING that actually heals me. It’s surrendering to the resonance of my being. When my focus, predominately, is attuned to this resonance—when I am the living embodiment of my Frequency-Tuning Resonance—then I feel wonderfully alive, relaxed, flexible and clear. Resonance, by definition, is all frequencies in their uniquely perfect expression of the moment, embodied in its present form. In your case, that means your body. So, as Steven says: stop seeking and start finding it all right here, right now. Grounding, centering in and receiving your resonance is the natural result of mind connected to its feeling nature. It is the one way we can KNOW truth, rather than just think about it (or wish and hope something is true).

Embraced by the All,
Laurel

The Joy of Learning

Dear Folks,

Today I am appreciating what a joy it is to learn something new. (Full disclosure: And yesterday I actually screamed out loud, it was so frustrating.) Today, it’s options. God knows what it will be tomorrow…

As in working with energy (engaging the energy, flowing the energy, surrender4ing to the energy), or working with sound healing (frequency, tuning, resonance), there are three aspects to learning which I am acutely aware of today. They are: the expansive feel of learning something new, the pleasure of practicing the new skill so that you deepen your ability to relax into doing it, and the profound productivity of recognizing when you've reached the point where you can completely let go--your foundation is there--and fly free in the intuitively-guided application of your new skill.

To give oneself all three of these experiences, vis a vis learning something new... now, that's a real gift of self-love, isn't it?

And, can you see the relationship between your Frequency-Tuning Resonance and your ability to learn, with ease, joy and transformative success? Think about it: in the first stage you must grasp the frequency of this new endeavor. In the second stage you are required to hang out with it, to attune to it, to tune in to it, in order to get good at it. And, in the third stage you need to release your personality hold on it and receive the resonance of this skill, in its complete, whole and transcendent form. Happy trails, folks!

Just a Learnin' Fool,
Laurel

Three-Point Periodicity--the Key to Freedom

Dear Folks,

Periodicity, by definition, is a two-point system. On/off; yes/no.

Is it good or is it bad? Anyone with a thimbleful of introspection already knows how well it works to base your life on that equation. In reality, yin and yang have long ago bitten the dust (and we're getting to eat it, right now--just take a quick look at our financial system, educational system, healthcare system, etc.).

My lifelong passion has been threes. Go figure. Threes are the yin, the yang, and the relationship between them. It's you, me and the other; it's good, bad and maybe. It's the "tuning" part of your Frequency-Tuning Resonance (FTR).

Periodicity is how most of humanity has lived, well... forever, and notice how well that has worked (and is working). Personally, I'll take threes any day over twos. So, it's tongue-in-cheeky of me to call it three-point periodicity, but quite expansive, concept-wise, wouldn't you agree? Let's put the human back in humanity. Let's you and me BE the third point of any situation--the one who is the chooser between the yes and the no. We are the third point: we tune into frequencies and modulate the energy into resonance. Hey, that's a big deal. Indeed, that's freedom, embodied.

For those who have learned how to move into Open Focus states (Dr. Les Fehmi's work), these musings become everyday realities (if you so choose). Think about it. What Open Focus is is the ability to move flexibly--seamlessly--between all the states of attention, from the most narrow to the most diffuse, and then back again. Dr. Fehmi's exercises teach us how to do that, in a fairly organized way. You focus here, you focus there, you focus in between here and there. Notice the threeness of this equation?

Whenever we introduce a third point into a system, we expand the system so it CAN move flexibly between states. You can do that in your body; you can shift, effortlessly, into a state of wholeness, simply by knowing how to consciously invoke a third point of reference in anything you are do.

When I am combining self-tuning with Open Focus these days (and I do it a lot, because it is such an amazing way to quickly and pleasurably relieve built-up tension and pain), I often end up going beyond the step one, step two approach, and morphing into a very fluid way of perceiving my attentional states. What I am feeling/seeing/hearing is a three-point periodicity that has become available to me by the manner in which I am focusing my attention. Specifically, I feel form (narrow, objective focus), I feel consciousness (diffused, immersed focus) and I feel open focus (all states in flux, as is appropriate for the system in the moment). It is this third state that heals, particularly in the context of FEELING SPACE.

The third state, the state of feeling it all (in a state of conscious space), not surprisingly, IS the All. It is the state of being one with the All, of being the All ... and, of simply, being. And listen well folks when I say this: I am NOT describing some kind of airy-fairy, esoteric consciousness game here. This stuff is real. I can really feel it. The state of oneness--what I call the Unified Wave--is such a strong feeling that it feels like someone is dragging a humongous magnet over my entire system, and as it moves through it organizes me into my own unique perfect way of being in the moment. I “snap to grid,” and everything that isn't right (the blocks, the kinks of my system, the pain) gets PUT INTO PLACE.

And, once in place, you know what happens to those kinks? Once the kinks are reunited with the whole, (which is my resonance)...they VANISH. Yup, this is the prize winner’s wet dream! We get to disappear our pain and be left with the space of authentic joy, cosmic love, the blessing of light, incarnate. Good deal, huh?

Once I can feel that state of resonance absorbing everything that is not resonant, I am healed, and continuously, I am being healed. No folks, it's not esoteric at all. Pain becomes nothing becomes pure pleasurable space. Being embraced by space is coming home to my Frequency-Tuning Resonance, for real.

What I think Open Focus training is really leading toward, at least for me, is to be able to flow in the continuous, infinite stream of the on, the off and my choice to be conscious of it All. When I embody that state and allow that state to embody me … the experience is, absolutely and truly, BLISS.

Your Triplicity-Telling Gal,
Laurel

Open Focus and Your Frequency-Tuning Resonance

Dear Folks,

OK and thanks! I heard from several folks who had actually been enjoying reading the blog, so OK... you read and I'll write.

Truth be told, I simply can't study options anymore today. Learning options is both thrilling and incredibly boring. Sometimes the thrill wins out... sometimes it's boredom (or enough already). It's the kind of subject where you can read and read and suddenly realize that not one word has sunk in.

So now I'm going to jump into discussing more deeply each of the resources I listed in an early blog. I'll start with Open Focus, because I'm doing a presentation on it locally and some of the folks who are attending may enjoy reading these entries. However, I'm not gonna be super-methodical about how I discuss Open Focus, meaning this isn't a teaching tool. If you want to learn about Open Focus in a formal manner, the best way is to buy Dr. Fehmi's two books. His website is openfocus.com. I think, or Google Les Fehmi.

People with chronic pain, in my opinion, are addicted to their pain experience. I say this with compassion, and also freely admit that I was one of these people (for 40 frigging years, so believe me, I know of what I speak). Of course, I am not denying the physical component in physical pain, or the biochemical component either. And, what I am asserting is that if you've been in basically the same kind of pain for longer than six months or so, then the question you've got to ask yourself is: what am I doing to keep this pain going?

What you'll discover is a whole host of ways that you keep returning to the conditions that generate your pain, or undoing the conditions that relieve your pain, or ignoring obvious commonsense realities about your pain. For me, it was one thing after another. Meaning, the mind (disconnected from its feeling nature, and connected to ego) endlessly generates excuses about why and how you can never actually be out of pain for very long.

When I started working with Open Focus I noticed an immediate shift in my pain levels. Way down. Yahoo! What came next was a surprising discovery that many of the ways I was self-tuning, though inherently and even profoundly helpful, were actually keeping the pain going as well. For instance, I would get a terrific insight about a new way to access fascia release, or breathe, or let go of a misconception... and then it would quickly get taken over by the ego in me. The result: more pain, even from using good techniques!

To date, the biggest gift I've received from my Open Focus work is that I have proven to myself, absolutely, that by shifting my focus from objective and narrow to immersed and diffused (terms Fehmi uses to describe different ways to focus) IT DOESN'T MATTER IF this or that physical and/or emotional condition is present. My fascia can be stuck, I can be tired and tense, I may not have stretched lately... and when I am willing to bring space into my perception--into my body and being--a shift occurs out of pain and into comfort.

To realize and really be able to perceive how most of my pain experience begins and ends in my mind, not my body, is humbling. And heuristic: now I can do something, for real, about it; now I can heal myself.

Working with a pain condition using Open Focus exercises gives grounded reality to the concept that "it's all about what you focus on." And again folks, I don't mean, think positive. I mean, wake up and be OK with what is--with all of it. Fehmi talks about how Open Focus teaches us "attentional flexibility." This is the ability to shift one's focus, as is appropriate to the situation at hand, rather than be stuck in the habit of narrow focus (a fight or flight state, basically). Doing Open Focus I can now feel my brainwaves coming into synchrony and let me tell you, that feels GOOD.

The act of consciously bringing space into the body and being is remarkably freeing. Literally, the areas that hurt are constricted. Bound up, stuck, black holes of energy, so overstimulated to become numb… these areas breathe a huge sigh of relief when you choose to allow light (i.e. space) in. When Dr. Fehmi talks about immersing my focus in the pain, my first reaction was “NO—that is bad, wrong and shameful.” (Wow: releasing pain is wrong. Hmmm, I wonder if that misconception could possibly contribute to prolonged pain.) Open Focus is all about bringing space into the body, about feeling space. And yes, space feels very, very GOOD, particularly where there hasn’t been much of it, for a long, long time.

Openly focused on loving it All,
Laurel

I'm still here, just preoccupied

Dear Folks,

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here. However, as warned, learning options has totally taken over my life, for a short period. Not only is learning very intense, but we're looking at a real possibility of a great move in the market, before the year's out, and I want to catch it. Hence, my priorities have shifted (we all know about that, don't we!).

That said, I am discovering great things about frequency, tuning and resonance these days (just not writing about it, for now). When I Self-Tune now I often sense my frequency-tuning resonance (FTR) in all its glorious, sensual, deeply-healing vibrational aliveness. As I let in more and more consciousness of light and love into my FTR amazing things are happening.

Pain is melting away instantly. I am beginning to feel real and prolonged states of utter ease, flow and wholeness. My flute playing shifts into sounding really good because there is no trying, forcing and efforting going on at all.

I'll make this invitation again, for what it's worth: if anyone is actually reading this blog, is actually interested in discussing self-healing through their FTR THEN PLEASE LET ME KNOW. In fact, the best email address would be: dailylife333@yahoo.com, if this describes you. Someone's active interest would inspire me to take the time and energy to keep writing. Otherwise, I'm just gonna have a ball healing myself, discovering the bliss of space within... and focus on learning options until I can enter the market and not make a fool of myself (and my money).

And friends, I wish you the same! We're almost at the pivot point of this year (mid June). Astrologically, and also through market indicators, something big is about to happen (can you imagine, even bigger than all that's already happened). I would guess that we will experience this shifting time in a wide range of ways, so getting your FTR on is highly indicated. Becasue if there is there one thing that will DETERMINE how you experience the shift (and it's not thinking positively or raising your vibration--please let's end this silly diversionary ignorance!), it's embracing the All... loving it all as one... in your body, allowing mind to connect with its feeling nature. It's now time to bring through your visions, to make some good money, to heal your body, to connect with your true love(s), and to share it in the world.

Optionally yours,
Laurel

Birthday Tribute to a Good Friend

Dear Folks,

Today I wanted to write a tribute to a dear friend, Shiila Safer, because her birthday was a few weeks ago. What she does fits right in with this blog...

Shiila is a very warm person, she exudes kindness. Her thing, these days, is to do a wonderfully creative version of therapy, with its focus being to assist folks in reconnecting with nature. Reconnecting mind to its feeling nature is the key to wholeness. It would almost go without saying, except that so many of us aren’t...

Mind requires connection to be sensed, just like a tuning fork is barely audible until its handle is touched to wood. In other words, mind requires a resonator. One way or another, your mind seeks to be connected; will it be to feeling its nature or to the ego in you? For a number of reasons I’ll discuss in another blog, most of us usually don't connect mind to feeling nature; we are habituated to connecting mind to ego (personal and/or collective), instead. Shiila's teachings are centered around sharing the passionate union she experiences with nature, in particular, big ol' trees. The gal is a nut for a good grandmother tree! I just love that about her. Through her sessions (and also a wonderful book she wrote last year), many fortunate people are given the opportunity to receive a sparkling bit of initiation that fires up their mind-feeling nature’s sense of oneness, sometimes for the very first time.

Who hasn't had a moment where we have felt the reality of our animal nature, and known that it was here that we needed to be rooted, to make all else flow smoothly in our lives? Who doesn't sense that there is a simplicity and ease, a tangible knowingness that we may feel, that lets us relax and feel goodness?

Thank you, Shiila, for your devoted expression of love and service. May all whose heart's desire, be connected mind to its feeling nature, so that your mind can relax, your body can maintain health and your whole being is filled with the inspiration of those who give of their loving kindness, as Shiila does so richly.

Rock On, Gal!

Sound Lets Us Feel Our Wholeness

Dear Folks,
This morning started out with a bang. I had to give my cat a de-skunkifying bath. You can imagine how much we both enjoyed that. Luckily, I know he'll get over the upset and forgive me. Animals, lacking consciousness of their separateness from the Whole, just naturally, re-integrate back into the whole when disturbing things arise. Peter Levine's brilliant book "Waking the Tiger" discuss how animals self-heal after a trauma. We, on the other hand, have the ability to be aware of it All, making it a CHOICE to identify mind with our feeling nature (our animal nature) rather than with the ego, personal and/or collective.

Think about it: frequency, tuning and resonance are all qualities of sound. The sound and the light are our main interfaces between the physical and non-physical aspects of life. Though we have been taught to depend much more on expressions of light (a masculine energy, that of seeing and thinking), we actually have more receptors in our body to receive sound (a feminine energy, that of feeling and intuiting) than light.

Frequency, tuning and resonance are the interfaces of sound that exist between our bodies and everything else (i.e. the world and the cosmos). Frequency engages life energy, tuning allows us to flow the energy, and resonance is experienced when we surrender to the energy.

The music of our being's resonation as cosmic Love is the frequency-symphony that attunes us, moment by moment. This resonation can be experienced as being a "tube of light" or the feeling of space embracing us all around. This is our wholeness, and indeed, as we consciously feel space touching us, we are healed. Meaning, our integration is restored by the all-encompassing quality of space. I can literally feel this tube of light restoring me to whole, re-integrating that which has become out of sync (from any kind of trauma, big or small, or even from thinking about past fears or future concerns).

Feeling this tube of light surrounding you can be a very subtle thing. Most of us need to cultivate the feeling, especially when we are doing anything else besides sitting quietly, completely focused in a meditational way. What's fascinating is that when I play the flute, calling forth this awareness, it becomes absolutely easy to play. What I notice is that when I am in this space of light, everything is easy, naturally flowing and self-tuning. Inside the tube, I am perfect; so is everything I do. Life works! And, when I am not aware of being embraced in a tube of light, I get stressed very quickly. Everything is much harder. Trying becomes the order of the day. Working hard ("I must work to make a living") becomes necessary, and not very effective, either.

Engaging (identifying) frequency, cultivating (flowing) tuning, and allowing (surrendering to) resonance can be bridges to the All, and as such we become consciously embodied as whole and perfected. Sound is the body's way of knowing Love in its every cell, resonating.

Tubing It,
Laurel

Is your mind chatter keeping you awake … or would you rather wakeUp laughing?

Dear Folks,

Reality to mind: it doesn’t matter. Stop trying to decide which is better. The minute you do, you will be set free. There is no conflict, not really. It’s all one, it’s all the All. Mind, employed to judge—which is better?—distracts you from focusing on what feels good. What feels good to most of us is breathing, fully and freely. Is that true for you?

When I play the flute I can have one of two experiences. The first experience, and the one I mostly always had up until recently, goes like this. My mind is very active, saying things like: “oh, try to get the right note, mmm that finger doesn’t feel comfortable, am I playing this well enough?” and so forth.

The truth is that until recently, I had little or no energy left over to pay attention to my body’s awareness, to the simple act of taking in a lovely breath, ahhhhh. No wonder I’ve been short of breath…and my playing reflected that self-imposed (mind-imposed) limitation.  I was not engaging frequency. If you take a peak at one of my very early blogs on the subject of frequency, specifically how we can learn to identify frequency, in our own unique way, you’ll understand what I am saying here about not engaging frequency. I was so busy listening to my mind chatter that I was not sensitive enough to be able to engage frequency. Waking up involves, for one, this process of discernment.

Just as everything in our lives may show up as less than resonant, when we are mainly focused on our mind’s constant chatter (which really boils down to constant conflict: is it this or is it that?) … when I make my prime priority feeling my breath in my center happening, my playing shows that too. The music becomes an expression of life, rather than a struggle for life. The increased clarity of my flute tone—resonance, to be sure—lets me know I’m listening to my inner truth, rather than mental recordings of ego lies.

(Hold on, we're taking a bit of turn, now...) The struggle for life—our survival instinct—is precisely and absolutely the kernel of WHAT we are evolving, at this time, to shift ourselves into energy generation via creative fusion rather than constant conflict.  Our survival instinct needs an overhaul, and willy nilly is getting’ one too, isn’t it?

When terror became branded onto all our hides, after 9/11, we were sunk. Or, more accurately, it because swim or sink. And the last time I looked, you gotta be AWAKE to be swimmin’. When we wake up to fusion, it’s a spark and you can’t miss it. However, fusion plus unconsciousness equal certain death. Case in point, humanity’s current tragic trajectory.  (Except, it’s not tragic; it’s just what it is. It just may be the greatest opportunity we’ve ever had.)

Are we gonna wake up laughing, or what? (The “or what” being—is the joke on us?) My newest baby is called WakeUp Laughing Astrology, and that’s what it is. It’s the astrology of awakening, and doing so in a damn good humor, too. I mean, what’s the point of waking up if it’s gonna be more of the same (or gasp, even more miserable)? We either wakeUp laughing or my guess is, we don’t’ wake up at all. Because, so far, humanity has proven it’s point about constant conflict: it sucks.

My new astrology system will be fun to use in consults. I’ve gotten a terrific idea for the format and now I just need to make the time to put it together. Learning options is my priority at the moment, because when the market moves I wanna be there. WakeUp Laughing Astrology is my little contribution to looking at people’s charts and sharing with them what I see, in terms of how they can make the shift into 2012 and beyond with the most comfort, ease and joy possible. Because again, if it’s ain’t fun, we don’t wanna do it, do we?

I’ve been an astrologer since my twenties, when I had a reading that changed my life. I’d already had several that left me saying, “huh???” This woman saw me as no one had ever articulated before, and she put it in a way that I could really get it, too. Then, conveniently, when I first started to learn astrology I had some mild but very tiring flu thing that kept me in bed for weeks. All I did was sleep and study astrology.

A few years later I ran into a woman who became my one and only mentor. She was such a whiz and somehow when she explained stuff it really made sense to me and, to this day, I remember her many kernels of astrological wisdom. I find astrology to be a deep paradigm, almost infinitely revealing; I never, so far, feel that I have grasped the entirety of my chart, or anyone else’s, either.

In the ‘90s I had a wonderful few years of studying with a Chinese Feng Shui master who took me under his wing because he was interested in writing a book with me that blended our Eastern and Western astrological expertise. Our birthdays were the same year, only days apart, and we got along very well. Recently, I’ve created a few different systems for reading the chart, with WUL Astrology being the only one that interests me the most these days.

Actually, what I do, and I’ll bet you’ve done the same thing at times, is I’ll borrow the really good bits of some system I created at an earlier time (but didn’t end up using) and then plug it in to my newest, shiniest system I’m currently developing. Thus, creating WUL Astrology’s  twenty-two paradigm shifts was much easier because I vulched my Resonant Life Readings and added in my Energetic Imprint Astrology, as well as elements of Self-Tuning. That’s one of the things that make older people so rich; we have experienced so much that we can blend together the best and now we can just skip the less good stuff.

So, WakeUp Laughing Astrology is my latest lovechild, named for an album I recorded on the harp and flute in the early ‘80s.  OK, enough reminiscing and astro-babbling. And to complete this entry and bring it all back home, I’ll  say the following: it’s all about identifying the frequencies your system needs and desires, cultivating a tuning practice that lets you attune to the All, and then surrendering to the resonance which IS the All by connecting mind to its feeling nature. Have fun!

WakeUp Smiling,
Laurel

A Tuning Tool Described

Dear Folks,

To some, the Frequency-Tuning Resonance (FTR) may sound like some airy-fairy notion, in a curious but who cares sort of way... I can well understand that reaction. However, it's not. It's a tangible phenomenon, albeit, one that requires a certain degree of subtlety, precision and awakeness to partake of, in a personal and unique way. Meaning, ya gotta do it for yourself. In this case, no amount of description can ever supplant hands-on experience.

To that end, here's a "Tuning Tool" I invented yesterday. (Tuning Tools are the exercises, games and protocols I create to make use of my FTR when I do Self-Tuning practice.) For awhile now, I've been pulling my focus into the spine, feeling as close as I possibly can the energy and the musculature that surrounds my spine, especially in the places where it hurts.

Yesterday, I was guided to discover how I could slightly shift that focus to include both sides of the spine simultaneously in a crossover pattern. The results were pretty amazing, in terms of pain relief and deep release of those areas. The impetus for this experiment was how aware I've become that it is the crossing over of energy, from one "side" of the brain to the other that seems to be somehow limited by physical and emotional trauma. I can sense it. (It often seems like I can either think OR feel--but not do both in concert with each other.)

Thus, when I put my attention on nothing but the energy crossing over my spine in an area where it hurts (engaging the energy), and just relaxed into it (flowing the energy), something new and transformative occurred (surrendering to the energy). I felt a deep healing of those places where crossover connection has been truncated.

Indeed, almost immediately the energy took on a life of its own, becoming a bubbling, buzzing, alternating-currently feel in the area I was working. It felt great! This sensation is one of the identifying qualities of the Frequency-Tuning Resonance in action. Mmmmm, it feels great!

Crossing Over, Dark Becomes Light,

New Name (again) for Blog

Dear Folks,

The new name is a little tweak... and actually, rather a big one too. Perhaps I am feeling the inspiration of Easter: time for rebirth!

In that transformative mood, I'm experimenting with naming the blog specifically about the (your) Frequency-Tuning Resonance, rather than, in general about the subjects of frequency, tuning and resonance. Which isn't to say that there won't be plenty of musings about these topics, in the future.

Your Frequency-Tuning Resonance response is my term for the phenomenon that occurs, just naturally, when we engage the energy, flow the energy, and surrender to the energy of sound, embodied as love and light.

With utter precision, and accessed through sensing (seeing-hearing-feeling), your Frequency-Tuning Resonance is the unique symphony of frequencies that attune you to the resonance of who you are, moment by moment. Through cultivating your FTR, you gain the ability to respond to the resonance of who you are—in other words, your authentic self, embodied.

Laurel

Beyond Hope & Change: Your Frequency-Tuning Resonance

Dear Folks,

We hope about things we feel we have no control over, or over which we have given away our control.

We seek to change that which we deny exists, and therefore cannot surrender to the Cosmos to be healed/transformed.

What lies beyond the empty promises of hope and change that the ego in you inveigles (or about which the collective ego speechifies)?

When you are consciously embodying your Frequency-Tuning Resonance, there is no longer any need to hope that things will be OK. You can feel it. Mind connected to its feeling nature resonates your authentic truths. And when things do not feel right, you know that too. By being willing to accurately observe your current reality, you gain access to its truth; you restore your ability to choose.

When you consciously surrender to being healed by being a channel for your Frequency-Tuning Resonance, there is no longer any attachment to changing anything. Trying to change things is just more of the same, observed from a slightly different angle. (Now your mind, disconnected from its feeling nature and enslaved by the ego is lost in the illusion of judging; once you are in conflict because you've judged something as not being OK then your feeling nature is lost to resisting that perception of pain. Oh my, now you're way too busy struggling to enjoy creative fusion!) Everything is as it is, and it is all part of the All; love and light are infinite in your being. The natural result of channeling your Frequency-Tuning Resonance is transformation: this is a shift.

As the bumper sticker sezs: "How"s that hopee-changee thing workin' for you?",
Laurel

Test Your Resonance Factor Awareness

Dear Folks,
I'm sure this news--with the headline in today's Drudge Report, GE'S PROFITS JUMPS 77%!--will really set your mind at ease. Such good news!
"The company said it had seen "a small financial impact" from Japan's nuclear crisis in the latest quarter—quantified as a half-cent reduction in per-share earnings—with a "limited" effect from supply-chain disruptions.
... GE said in a slide presentation accompanying its earnings that the "small headwinds" faced by its nuclear and healthcare units from Japan could be "offset by infrastructure rebuild." "(WSJ.com, Bob Sechler)

So friends, how's the "Resonance Factor" of this statement strike you? First, they help to destroy the world, then their profits jump. (Yes, this is a test, to see if YOU can feel the presence or absence of resonance in a system, because if you can, then you can use that facility to tune yourself. If you cannot, then you have, in effect, given up your free will to choose what you truly desire. Think about it, and let me know what "Big Picture" ah-ha's you come up with...)

I'm off to for my daily options study after I see how the market opens. I'd like to get out of half my position in GDXJ and AUY today, if it looks like the right move.

Blurting Big Picture's Sticky Embrace,
Laurel

Humanity and Constant Conflict States

Dear Folks,

What do you think of a species that uses their astounding creative abilities to create continual conflict? OK, now look in the mirror with infinite compassion. How does that feel?

This morning I was reading from these two sites:

Whether it's nuclear power, our financial system, or the way we deal with our health ... we have created immense and continual conflict. What other basis is there for us to be so brilliant that we can create nuclear power plants, and so stupid that we would create something so far beyond our ability to use it without destroying ourselves???????????????

Oh yes, and then put the minority (about 5%) of us who are sociopaths in charge of the money and power...

Wake Up or Die,
Laurel

P.S. I apologize for sounding so mean, but after reading those above links perhaps you too will see how surviving and thriving in this time depends, utterly, on each of us creating a deep, molecular level of inner peace (something that is translated into physical and emotional well-being in the most essential ways).

Ode to Our Frequency-Tuning Resonance

Dear Folks,

Welcome to “The And” club. You can only join is you possess a Frequency-Tuning Resonance (FTR)… so that includes YOU.

We each posses a FTR, because this is our gift from God (the cosmos, consciousness, the Lifestream).

What the FTR is, is what I have formerly called “the unified wave.” The unified wave/our FTR is a state of oneness with the All that can be heard, felt and seen (in differing ways, unique to each individual and the present moment).

In the years of Self-Tuning that I’ve indulged in, cultivating my sensing of the FTR turns out to have been a grand reward… and there are as many methods of cultivating your FTR as there are people.

Basically, there are two ways people can GENERATE creative energy: either through continual conflict of contrasting elements, or through the fusion of contrasting elements. In other words, in this cosmos of ours, there will ALWAYS be contrasting elements; it’s our nature, it’s the nature of the world, and it’s the healing bestowed upon us by the cosmos. The question is: what do YOU do with those contrasting elements? (Examples of contrasting elements would be … how you can love a person and also be angry with them, or how in order to receive you must first give it away, or how your body requires relaxation and also to be focused, or how any two opposite things can both be true at the same time. Basically, it’s that every sine wave (frequency) has an up and a down cycle.)

Do you struggle with contrasting elements, and thus are in constant conflict because you’ve embodied the “yes” and the “no” and now you are resisting the “no” part of the equation (or just as often, the “yes” part)? In other words, do you experience pain from the contrasts in your life, in your body, in your mind? (Essentially, the genesis of all pain is that your system is in a prolonged state of either overarousal [“fight or flight”] or under-arousal [exhaustion, depression]).

Or do you flow in harmony with those very same contrasts, generating creative fusion—a lifeforce that merges everything together in the best possible way, so that you are blessed with the All as your intimate guide and ground of being?

OK, so the FTR is your own unique expression and experience of being merged with the All, of the resulting fusion of contrasting elements declaring peace rather than war with each other. It is a tangible, knowable, able-to-be-mastered “thing” which I highly recommend you learn how to generate for yourself, anytime, anywhere. (I’ll be more specific about this in another blog.)

Cultivating a personal relationship with your FTP allows you to be able to consciously modulate, to regulate, adjust and release energy as it comes to you, through and expresses as you, this is the gift. This is a form of life (or energy) mastery.

Being given an FTP, we’ve been kissed on the lips by God. No wonder Adam and Eve were made to flee the garden. They weren’t the main sex act. God was. The sheer juice of Lifestream energy coursing through and all around you is the stuff sex is made of—and everything else, too.

Fusion occurs naturally, that’s “The And” club I mentioned above. Fusion fuses things together rather than ripping them apart, duh. Fusion is ease, it’s instant, it’s life expressing through you as you. When I Self-Tune this becomes obvious: we are rivers of light, patterns alive with dimension beyond dimension. Fusion is the spark, and we are the fire. No big surprise the takedown may come in the form of a nuclear meltdown. The bandwidth (i.e. frequency) of nuclear power is nuclear fission. Fission/fusion, why fuss or obfuscate? If we don’t consciously experience this energy as fusion, apparently we’ll get to experience it anyway, as fission. Same energy, very different result, isn’t it? It’s all a matter of tuning, of what you attune the majority of your attention to…

The bottomless wellspring of our Lifestream energy is available, completely and in your perfect resonance, if you will but surrender to be its willing channel. That’s what your FTP really is: it’s the frequency that attunes you to your (unique) state of being your resonant Self. It has taken me more than sixty years to learn this, and I’m still learning and always will be, no doubt. The pain in my body was such that I finally had to address it.  After 9/11, I knew what was coming (and so did you). We all knew what was coming next. Time to get real about making the shift into 2012 and beyond, isn’t it!

Here’s my cheeriest thought about the grim realities surfacing these days … offsetting nicely the news from Japan’s ever-worsening, world-class nuclear meltdown, which appears to be slowly irradiating the Northern Hemisphere. What I thought was this: perhaps since the Hopis, Mayans, et al have been so spot on about 2012 earth changes a’comin’ up… maybe they are right about the good stuff, too! They saw a way through this karmic cleanup of humanity’s messes; they talked about a golden age. Their teachings (in various ways) impart the essential tools through which we can learn and evolve—which is to embody our own infinite wellspring of connection with the All, that is, to incarnate consciously now. This is precisely what feeling, hearing and seeing your FTP allows to occur, and to come forth with the comfort of fusion rather than pain of conflict.

Many of us are learning well, aren’t we? Emotional tools, physical tools and practical tools, as well as relationship tools… we’ve been sucking down the lessons, some of us for decades. Why the connection gets so screwed up is a subject for another blog. And let me just say this: it does. We all know that one well, too. My heart longs to see the human race embody its true heart. We are on the brink. The tipping point is tipping.

End of story: we “own” ourselves—our energy systems, our FTRs—and they are so perfectly tuned to who we truly are that all you have to do is relax into yours to receive its benefits. The FTR, the unified wave flowing to us, through us and expressing as us, is a wellspring of Lifestream energy … treetrunk-wide and ocean deep. Vibration can be so easily sensed, once you relax a little into yourself. Your fountain of life—just what Ponce de Leon was searching—is being awakened as your FTR now.

Feeling your vibration shows you precisely, exactly and with complete ease how to be a channel for that symphony of frequency, tuning and resonance that you are, that your system is, and that you exist within. We exist within the embrace and motion of the cosmos, breathing itself—and you—alive. We become embodied in a form, a structure that is uniquely our own. And, when we can consciously sense that form, then it embodies us and the rest can be so easy. Your FTP is the frequency-tuning resonance that IS the connection between your inner and outer form, between you and the world, and between the personal and cosmic realms. It’s the All, seen, heard and felt as your life energy flowing freely and fully.

Being fully alive is the easiest thing possible. It’s not being fully alive that’s that hard part. Literally, it’s what makes our lives so very difficult. The suffering of the human race seems to be nearing its end, one way or another. Do you agree or disagree? (Meaning, do you think these times are “history repeating itself” or are we heading for “the shift”?) Those great New Yorker cartoons with the whacko holding the sign up in some really funny places, “the end is near… spend all your money tomorrow” , are they coming true?  Well, either way, getting into your FTP groove can make your life easier, more fun and naturally productive, which sounds cool—doesn't it?

I don’t know what will happen (no one does), and you know what? It doesn’t matter. It’s always a moment-by-moment thing, anyway. When I see, hear and feel (or any combo thereof) my FTR in the conscious awareness of Love, the moment gets a whole lot better. To me, that’s what matters.

OK, OK… I’m off to study options. Wish me luck!

FTP-ing in the AM,
Laurel

Vacation Over, I'm Back

Dear Folks,

Well, after the third note commenting on me being gone I realized that, hey! people actually DO read the blog.

So.. just to let you know my vacation lasted all of 10 minutes or so. Even as I pursue learning options (I'm excited, precious metal, my specialty, has STRONG fundamentals with private hedgefunds and China buying billions and taking delivery), I will continue to blog about freq, tuning and resonance. What an exciting time this is (not to mention terrifying and challenging) as all the planets scrunch together in a few houses (unusual) opposed by Saturn (chickens coming home to roost), gulp.

Back Soon Yakking,
Laurel

Your very own Frequency-Tuning Resonance

Dear Folks,

OK, so much for vacation... and I'm way too busy learning options to go into detail--unless I get a response from someone who is actually interested in learning more about what I'm about to say...

Here is what I am discovering now: this blog is not just about the subjects of frequency, tuning and resonance. Nope. THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A FREQUENCY-TUNING RESONANCE (FTR).

Meaning, each of us possess a unique FTR, or you might say, has access to our own unique FTR. And to become conscious of your FTR gives you the ability of self-healing on all levels. The FTR is an entity, a thing; it's a specific frequency (or combination of frequencies) that has the capability of tuning you (attuning you) to resonance--just like I tune a piano string so that it is resonates most fully and freely in its given system (i.e. throughout all octaves of the instrument).

That which is resonant, by definition, is in harmony with the All. When you are in harmony with the All, you experience ease, comfort and love. Good deal, huh?

When you learn how to consciously access your FTR you can--anytime and anywhere--RESET yourself to neutral. Meaning, if you are feeling depressed, spacey or tired, you can become energized up to neutral and feel great again. Or, if you are feeling hyper, scattered or overstressed, you can relax and let go, resetting yourself down to neutral again (ahhh, peace!). (Yet another reason why asking to "raise your vibration" is not gonna get you where you wanna go...)

That's all she wrote,
Laurel

Vacation Time!

Dear Folks,

Yup, I'm taking a little "vacation" from writing about Frequency, Tuning and Resonance for awhile. The nice thing about writing a blog that no one reads (I assume) is that when I decide NOT to write the blog, no one cares.

Actually, today I devised a terrific system and format by which to work with folks who want to make the shift into 2012 and beyond in the easiest, most comfortable and productive way they possibly can. I'll probably make it the underpinning of my WakeUp Laughing Astrology consultations.

This discovery led directly to a very curious insight, which a friend helped me to bring through. I realized that I desire to put my energy somewhere quite different than into writing for no one and creating wonderful consultations for that same appreciative crowd. To that end, I am moving into a shift in my career goals for now. Actually, it's a shift back into what I was doing before. For the last five years I've been doing well with studying and trading the markets. And now it's time, God willing, to do even better.

I think that the next 8 months or so may possibly be the biggest money-making opportunity I've ever seen in my lifetime (I'm 60), and ever will see again. Possibly. Considering how much work I've put into learning to trade, it feels like it's time for me to put that work to work.

I've decided to learn how to trade options, and while that will take some intense study, I suspect that what I've already learned about trading (futures and stocks) will stand me in good stead for this next way of trading (options).

Reading a chart of the market is rather like reading an astrology chart. I love doing both! Once you understand the basic components and how they work, then you can begin to put it all together, really getting a feel for what that chart is telling you. My approach is to focus on a sector (commodities) and really get to know it--both the technical (i.e. info from reading the charts) and fundamentals (i.e. the info from learning about a particular stock).

At any rate, I'll probably write more, from time to time. But now I'm excited about learning something new and making some money with it.

Tuning into the resonance of the now frequency,
Laurel

Pain or Pleasure: Your Choice

Dear Folks,

I'm essentially a pragmatist... and while I love having my head in the clouds (thinking, being conceptual, connecting the dots), there is REALLY ONLY ONE REASON why I have gotten so deeply involved with using frequency, tuning and resonance for self-healing. Because it works.

All the information that I share in this blog has resulted from my hands-on practice of Self-Tuning (which is a combo of self-sensing plus using core muscles plus mind plus surrender to cosmic energy). Hours and hours of Self-Tuning, in order to engage, flow and be healed by Lifestream energy... and for the fist time in decades the pain is way, way less (and still vanishing even more).

I'm a pragmatist: I deeply desire to live my life free of the constant pain, emotional and physical, which I have experienced for the last 40 years. And indeed, more and more so, NOW I AM. That's why I bother to write this blog. What I am doing works for me... and while you may certainly need to do something different (we are all unique), you may become inspired, you may feel supported, you may gain vital info, that will allow you, too, to heal yourself, by considering what I have to share.

Today's main insight I wish to share is the following: based on my Self-Tuning experiences, I can assure you that the scientific research is exactly right: it is just as easy for us to feel pleasure as it is to feel pain, basically, in any given circumstance. That includes the one (or ones) that have become your chronic ways of being in pain.

This is a remarkable statement, if you really think about it. For instance, I’ll be doing something or other (typing, talking with someone, playing the flute, tuning a piano, upset with my partner, etc.) and I'll notice that the pain is starting up. (For me, I feel a swiftly-building sensation of extreme contraction in my shoulders, neck and jaw.) Then I'll remember that I can do the exact same thing--feel the exact same way--be the exact same person with the exact same issues and habits--and CHOOSE TO FEEL PLEASURE RATHER THAN PAIN! Note: learning the Open Focus exercises has been invaluable in being able to physically and mentally know how to do this.

It's a choice. And this choice occurs at the level of brain function. It's NOT positive thinking, which is a misunderstanding of how energy works. (Our crucial choice isn't deciding to think good or bad thoughts; being the "judger" of every dichotomy keeps us enthralled in constant conflict [which equals painful experience]. The choice is about whether you generate energy through a state of conflict or a state of fusion. Stop judging or trying to control yourself [be good, think good thoughts] because we, as humans, simply cannot do that. It's not our job--it's God's job. Our job is to choose how we use our energy [i.e. what we pay attention to and how we pay attention]. Are you willing [yes, it's a matter of will] to allow mind to connect to its feeling nature, or will you default to connecting mind to ego, yet again?)

Choice isn't positive thinking, which is the ego's way of diverting and distorting your attentional focus, so that you never move forward with embodying true states of fusion. Take a look at the world we’ve created. How much real progress has humanity made, being a slave to conflict states, and being (so far) unable to sustain states of fusion (in any given arena of life)? Yes--we can choose, in every situation to experience (bring on the experience of) pain or pleasure. I just happen to have an exquisitely sensitive body that gives me instant feedback about what my current choice is. What a gift!

Here's the real kicker: when you choose to feel pleasure rather than pain, there is nothing to resist anymore. And, when you are resisting NOTHING, what you feel is space (openness, flexibility, all possibility, the All, pure life energy flowing to you, through and expressing as you).

It is just as easy to choose pleasure as pain. The brain simply cannot tell the difference. The mind doesn't want to (until it is connected to its feeling nature). The ego demands that you choose pain. And you--the authentic, whole, integrated, self-healing you--can always return to the harmony of awareness, embodied as the choice to feel pleasure rather than keep suffering in pain. This very moment, you can do that for yourself. Good deal!

Letting it all feel good,
Laurel

Self-Healing: Loving Yourself For Real

Dear folks,

PLEASE NOTE: If this entry interests you, consider checking out the blog by reading the first post FIRST. The info is cumulative and will make more sense if you read them in the order they were written.

In this blog I am trying to be fairly well organized, covering my topic step by step... so that the interested reader can actually gain something of value. So far I've covered frequency, tuning and resonance, plus other topics as they came along. These initial blogs are just the beginning, meaning, what I've said is introductory and I'll go into more depth as the blog unfolds. You're always welcome to ask me questions, as well, if some point raised in a blog is a hot one for you.

In keeping with discussing the elements of the title (which has changed, you might notice, in the quest of presenting the blog so folks can easily ascertain what it's about), today I'll ruminate about self-healing.

Being in constant pain for so long, I was always looking for someone to heal me. In the course of my seeking I ended up getting a terrific education about mind, body and energy healing methods... and almost no pain relief whatsoever. Literally, I'd have a session and within seconds or minutes be back in pain. Sure learned a lot, though.

When 9/11 happened, for me it was preceded by the sudden death of my second husband, Tom. He fell off a cliff while hiking in Colorado on July 5. By the time 9/11 hit I was already quite undone by the close presence of death. And, like all good alcoholics (I was a stress-o-holic, but it's the same thing just with a different substance) I finally hit bottom and was forced to look at my life and ask the question, "is this all there is--I am gonna keep up this stupid behavior and die addicted?" Because the presence of death will do that to ya... make you reconsider wasting your life on being caught in an endless cycle of addiction.

I call my relationship with this stress-related pain an addiction because that became my understanding, when I asked God for help, a few days after 9/11 put me in this very reflective mood. I was shown, in no uncertain terms, how continuing the behavior that was keeping my stress-related pain going was, absolutely, an addiction, an addiction to being stressed out, to being in pain.

This shocked me; no one had ever presented this possibility to me, and it rang true. So, I set out to discover how I could overcome my addiction to stress. It's taken until now, and it's still going on. But I am almost 95% free of pain, and that's a huge piece of progress considering that for 35 years I was 0% free of pain, no matter what I did. It is this reality that made me aware of how I HAD TO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR HEALING MYSELF.

Healing myself is not the same thing as having to heal all by myself. Indeed, since I've become my own healer I have been blessed with many fine folks who have assisted me in this process. Couldn't have done it without them. Yet it's totally different than I when I was running from person to person hoping and wishing they would, finally, be able to heal me. Desperately wanting others to take away the pain simply never, ever worked.

Being a self-healer is taking full responsibility for healing yourself, and you don't have to do it alone (in fact, you can't). Besides opening up to other practitioners, books, info etc. I also had to learn how to open up to God (the cosmos, consciousness, Jesus, etc.) For, in the end, we cannot transform ourselves. We can set up the conditions by engaging energy, we can cultivate and learn by flowing the energy, and then we must surrender to the energy (i.e. allow ourselves to be healed by the energy, by God).

Self-healing is a remarkable journey. I had no idea it would be this much fun. And, for me, the bottom line is that, only through self-healing can I actually, and for real, let go of the pain and be healed. Now, when I work with a practitioner, it helps tremendously. Now, when I am stuck, I ask for help from the cosmos and always receive it.

From my self-healer to yours,
Laurel
