Speaking the truth to yourself feels good

Dear Folks,

A friend sent me the following quote from Steve Beckrow:

“Beloved ones, to be in the Frequency of Love you do not have to prove yourself or work on yourself or be something that you are not as yet. You are Love and you express that Truth when you simply align with the Frequency of Divine Will and Cosmic Light. There is nothing to learn or achieve ….you simply allow the Light to flow through you as you become the “Eye of God.” Divine Intelligence experiences itself as Love through You! It is simple when you allow this Flow and this alignment!”

I would like to comment on this quote and invite you to consider how you can tap into the beneficial reality of what this quote is trying to impart… while not falling prey to its limiting beliefs. In my opinion, it illustrates both a beautiful desire to share love (thank you Steven!) and a distortion of the truth. And while I deeply appreciate the intention, my job right now is to discuss frequency, tuning and resonance in a way that helps any interested party in accurately embodying this vast metaphor so we can grow, heal ourselves, and surrender to being filled with Cosmic Love and Light. Ya dig?

In my opinion, the simplest most core way to express what it is that the human race does that is dysfunctional (i.e. that leads to pain rather than the freedom to love) is that we deny our feeling nature. Whether it’s our attitudes about sex, our myths (Adam and Eve getting kicked outta the garden), our values (it’s what you think is real, not what you feel), our collective training (suck it up, stick your head in the sand, feeling is wrong, shameful and bad).

The version of the I Ching I love to work with (Carol K. Anthony and Hanna Moog’s, see earlier post re Resources) was a revelation for me, because of it’s deep grasp of this issue. Being someone who is healing myself from forty years of denying my emotional and bodily feelings, I know the potency of how painful this can be. I also know the blessing of how releasing it is to finally awaken to accepting, being OK with, and letting flow my feelings. Byron Katie’s work, the Forum, somatics, and many other approaches are great treasures, in that they teach us how what we think is… well, what we think. And that’s OK. But it’s not necessarily what’s real, and just because we think it doesn’t mean we have to run it through our emotional bodies without discernment.

Understand how it works: you think something, then you judge it as not OK, then of course, you must suppress it. You must resist what you’re feeling. (Because once a feeling is labeled as “bad” who in the world would ever choose to feel it—to feel bad?) And, once you are busy resisting it, your focus (your attention, your attitude) is LOST to that resistance. You have little or not attention left over to perceive Light and Love. Cut off from what you are feeling, from your feeling nature, and you cut off from reality, from your authentic wholeness. That is a very painful condition, and it is THE human foible of all times. (It’s not about thinking positively; it’s about focusing on Light and Love, and ALL that entail!)

New-paradigm awareness is all about fusion. It’s about allowing oneness with the All. That means ALL energies, folks. What you are thinking, what you are feeling, what’s really happening, what do you wish were happening, even what’s happening in an alternate reality (we won’t get into that now, OK?). Old-paradigm awareness is all about conflict. It’s OK to feel this/it’s not OK to feel that… Endless suffering and continual pain are the inevitable result. Which do you choose now?

As the I Ching sez: mind connected to feeling nature (to its nature, to the body) results in remembering the feel of Cosmic Love. This is precisely what Open Focus imparts. Feeling space IS feeling conscious Love. Same thing. It’s feeling it all—the ground of being—and the space from which it comes, is and returns to. However, mind disconnected from feeling nature, by default, equals mind connected to ego (mind HAS to connect to something to be activated, just like a tuning fork must touch wood to be heard). So, it’s either mind connected to feeling nature or to ego. Notice which choice most people make; notice which choice is reflected in the world at large in every single system that human beings have created. Notice which choice is leading us into destruction, because it is, indeed, an ultimate act of self-destruction. (When we focus on the ego, the Self, is under attack, because that’s what the ego thinks it must to do to keep us safe.) Notice what happens the very instant you choose to connect mind to its feeling nature. (Breath opens up, you feel grounded, mind relaxes, attention expands to include present-moment joy, etc.)

Back to the quote…
Of course he’s right in his basic concept: You are Love and you express that Truth when you simply align with the Frequency of Divine Will and Cosmic Light. There is nothing to learn or achieve ….you simply allow the Light to flow through you as you become the “Eye of God.”
That's my whole point about asking for resonance rather than to "raise your vibration"  … which is a mind-divorced-from body concept about what you think you are not, but should be. Whereas resonance is what you already ARE, and by asking for this, you bring your awakened consciousness into harmony with the truth of who you are. And then, PING!, you are resonant (whole, perfect, living love).

However, to my perception there is not "the" frequency of love. There is a SYMPHONY of frequencies—All frequencies, to be exact—and that, when we come into harmony with ourselves and the Cosmos, we can hear, see and feel as love.

Now, I know that some of you may thinking I'm nit-picking, and so be it. But frankly, I think that if people say or especially write things and use words, like “frequency”, it is their responsibility to use them correctly. You and I both know the power of words. And I personally LOVE that we have an entire Cosmos full of all frequencies, from 0 Hz to infinite Hz (cycles per second).

Time for a quick review of what frequency is, from a (somewhat) technical point of view: A frequency is a sound wave (vibration) that can be measured in Hz or cycles per second. As such, every possible speed of cycles exists, from the very, very low to the very, very high (i.e. nuclear fission and beyond). Low frequencies are no more bad than high ones are good; they just are what they are. In some situations, one if more appropriate than another. To label low freqs as bad and high ones as good is code for saying that the body is bad and the mind (or spirit) is good. Not true. It’s ALL good; it’s all just what it is. How would you like for the “raise your vibes” police to come into your house and rip out the lower octaves of your piano, you know… for your security and well-being? To ground is to flow in low vibrations—yummy, healing. To be stuck in “fight or flight” mode is to cram your brainwaves into an ultra-high vibe state. Still want to raise them some more, huh? Ask for resonance, for it all and take what you get and love it for what it is. That’s self-healing via you’re your Frequency-Tuning Resonance for real.

To suggest that there is ONE PARTICULAR frequency that is Love is old-paradigm speak. It leads directly into trying, endless seeking (better find that one frequency or you're outta the loop, sucker!), and disconnecting from the All (Oh, I don't want those other non-love freqs anywhere near me, bleech). It leads to denying our bodies, and thus lack of grounding (which results in even more pain and suffering). If something is true, if something is worth believing, it’s worth running it through your emotions and body!

And the only thing that’s true is that you were put here on earth to embody loving it all,  being it all… just because it's All here, and we are it All. And if you are gonna use the term “frequency” than understand what it is, just the way you wouldn't blather on about an isotope or skew-risk options charts unless you knew what the heck they were! Language is a direct arrow into our thinking brains. (i.e. thoughts ARE specific frequencies). What we think is how we feel. How we feel creates the quality of energy we give forth into the Cosmos. And that, my friends, determines the quality of energy we receive back. So use words to mean what they really do mean, and you've got instant alignment with what you really do choose. Use words in old-paradigm ways and you are contributing to keeping the conflict going, within yourself and others. Again, your choice.

To conclude: in healing my body, there is ONLY ONE THING that actually heals me. It’s surrendering to the resonance of my being. When my focus, predominately, is attuned to this resonance—when I am the living embodiment of my Frequency-Tuning Resonance—then I feel wonderfully alive, relaxed, flexible and clear. Resonance, by definition, is all frequencies in their uniquely perfect expression of the moment, embodied in its present form. In your case, that means your body. So, as Steven says: stop seeking and start finding it all right here, right now. Grounding, centering in and receiving your resonance is the natural result of mind connected to its feeling nature. It is the one way we can KNOW truth, rather than just think about it (or wish and hope something is true).

Embraced by the All,
Laurel

The Joy of Learning

Dear Folks,

Today I am appreciating what a joy it is to learn something new. (Full disclosure: And yesterday I actually screamed out loud, it was so frustrating.) Today, it’s options. God knows what it will be tomorrow…

As in working with energy (engaging the energy, flowing the energy, surrender4ing to the energy), or working with sound healing (frequency, tuning, resonance), there are three aspects to learning which I am acutely aware of today. They are: the expansive feel of learning something new, the pleasure of practicing the new skill so that you deepen your ability to relax into doing it, and the profound productivity of recognizing when you've reached the point where you can completely let go--your foundation is there--and fly free in the intuitively-guided application of your new skill.

To give oneself all three of these experiences, vis a vis learning something new... now, that's a real gift of self-love, isn't it?

And, can you see the relationship between your Frequency-Tuning Resonance and your ability to learn, with ease, joy and transformative success? Think about it: in the first stage you must grasp the frequency of this new endeavor. In the second stage you are required to hang out with it, to attune to it, to tune in to it, in order to get good at it. And, in the third stage you need to release your personality hold on it and receive the resonance of this skill, in its complete, whole and transcendent form. Happy trails, folks!

Just a Learnin' Fool,
Laurel

Three-Point Periodicity--the Key to Freedom

Dear Folks,

Periodicity, by definition, is a two-point system. On/off; yes/no.

Is it good or is it bad? Anyone with a thimbleful of introspection already knows how well it works to base your life on that equation. In reality, yin and yang have long ago bitten the dust (and we're getting to eat it, right now--just take a quick look at our financial system, educational system, healthcare system, etc.).

My lifelong passion has been threes. Go figure. Threes are the yin, the yang, and the relationship between them. It's you, me and the other; it's good, bad and maybe. It's the "tuning" part of your Frequency-Tuning Resonance (FTR).

Periodicity is how most of humanity has lived, well... forever, and notice how well that has worked (and is working). Personally, I'll take threes any day over twos. So, it's tongue-in-cheeky of me to call it three-point periodicity, but quite expansive, concept-wise, wouldn't you agree? Let's put the human back in humanity. Let's you and me BE the third point of any situation--the one who is the chooser between the yes and the no. We are the third point: we tune into frequencies and modulate the energy into resonance. Hey, that's a big deal. Indeed, that's freedom, embodied.

For those who have learned how to move into Open Focus states (Dr. Les Fehmi's work), these musings become everyday realities (if you so choose). Think about it. What Open Focus is is the ability to move flexibly--seamlessly--between all the states of attention, from the most narrow to the most diffuse, and then back again. Dr. Fehmi's exercises teach us how to do that, in a fairly organized way. You focus here, you focus there, you focus in between here and there. Notice the threeness of this equation?

Whenever we introduce a third point into a system, we expand the system so it CAN move flexibly between states. You can do that in your body; you can shift, effortlessly, into a state of wholeness, simply by knowing how to consciously invoke a third point of reference in anything you are do.

When I am combining self-tuning with Open Focus these days (and I do it a lot, because it is such an amazing way to quickly and pleasurably relieve built-up tension and pain), I often end up going beyond the step one, step two approach, and morphing into a very fluid way of perceiving my attentional states. What I am feeling/seeing/hearing is a three-point periodicity that has become available to me by the manner in which I am focusing my attention. Specifically, I feel form (narrow, objective focus), I feel consciousness (diffused, immersed focus) and I feel open focus (all states in flux, as is appropriate for the system in the moment). It is this third state that heals, particularly in the context of FEELING SPACE.

The third state, the state of feeling it all (in a state of conscious space), not surprisingly, IS the All. It is the state of being one with the All, of being the All ... and, of simply, being. And listen well folks when I say this: I am NOT describing some kind of airy-fairy, esoteric consciousness game here. This stuff is real. I can really feel it. The state of oneness--what I call the Unified Wave--is such a strong feeling that it feels like someone is dragging a humongous magnet over my entire system, and as it moves through it organizes me into my own unique perfect way of being in the moment. I “snap to grid,” and everything that isn't right (the blocks, the kinks of my system, the pain) gets PUT INTO PLACE.

And, once in place, you know what happens to those kinks? Once the kinks are reunited with the whole, (which is my resonance)...they VANISH. Yup, this is the prize winner’s wet dream! We get to disappear our pain and be left with the space of authentic joy, cosmic love, the blessing of light, incarnate. Good deal, huh?

Once I can feel that state of resonance absorbing everything that is not resonant, I am healed, and continuously, I am being healed. No folks, it's not esoteric at all. Pain becomes nothing becomes pure pleasurable space. Being embraced by space is coming home to my Frequency-Tuning Resonance, for real.

What I think Open Focus training is really leading toward, at least for me, is to be able to flow in the continuous, infinite stream of the on, the off and my choice to be conscious of it All. When I embody that state and allow that state to embody me … the experience is, absolutely and truly, BLISS.

Your Triplicity-Telling Gal,
Laurel
